The Delhi Police Sunday arrested two men, their father, and a friend for allegedly stabbing a man to death and injuring his wife and daughter over a fight in the Capital’s Shalimar Bagh area.
According to the Delhi Police, the four accused have been identified as Sanjay, 23, and his brother Dharmender, 25, their father Ram Charan, 53, and friend Raman, 27, residents of U and V block Jhuggi in Shalimar Bagh. They said the men went to the house of Bharat, with whom Sanky fought, on February 20.
“Bharat and his friends Mukhtyar, Chinu, and Nikesh had an altercation with Sanjay aka Sanky, leading to injuries to him. After knowing about the beating incident, Dharmender, who is also known as Doremon, along with his injured brother Sanjay, friend Raman alias Firoze, and Ram Charan went to the house of Bharat in search of him to take revenge,” said Bhisham Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police (North West).
While the four men did not find Bharat at home, they attacked his father Kali Charan, mother Sudama, and sister Anita. “Kalicharan was referred to LNJP Hospital and later succumbed to his injuries. His mother and sister are undergoing treatment,” Singh said.
All four accused have been arrested and an investigation is underway, the police said.
