7-year-old girl sexually assaulted by grandfather, uncle & brother on multiple occasions
A 7-year-old girl's grandfather, uncle and brother allegedly sexually assaulted her in Chennai.
Chennai: A 7-year-old girl in Tamil Nadu was allegedly sexually assaulted by her own family members on separate occasions. The police arrested the three accused on Monday. Reportedly, the child was sexually assaulted when she was at her grandfather’s home near Madipakkam.
The girl’s 62-year-old grandfather took her to his house as her mother was busy with work while she had online classes. The man said he wanted to take her home to reduce the load on her mother.

When the child’s mother agreed, her grandfather brought her to his house – where his son was also staying. On August 2, the 62-year-old man allegedly sexually assaulted the child when she was sleeping next to him.
After the incident, the girl went to her 42-year-old uncle for her who allegedly misbehaved with her on the pretext of pacifying her. The child then went to her 16-year-old brother who allegedly sexually assaulted her, The Times of India reported.
Minor sent to hospital, accused sent to jail
On Sunday, the girl’s mother went to the accused’s house to visit the kids and learned that her daughter was sick and unable to walk. Following this, the woman took her daughter to a hospital where she shared her plight.
The woman lodged a complaint with the Madipakkam all-women police and the accused were booked under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The police sent the minor girl to the Institute of Child and Health and Hospital for Children, where the doctors confirmed sexual assault.
After the cops were alerted, the girl’s grandfather and uncle were sent to jail and her child’s brother was sent to a correctional facility. The child is said to be recovering.
