Police bust ‘Mujra Party ‘ at Faridabad hotel, arrest 44 persons for trafficking and prostitution

Faridabad police said the hotel did not have the licence to serve liquor. Cops said a woman identified as Nisha had brought 15 women from Delhi-NCR who performed 'vulgar' dance.

Gurugram: Police have arrested at least 44 persons following a raid at a Faridabad hotel where an alleged ‘mujra party’ was being held on Wednesday night.

The attendees at mujra party were from across the NCR. They have been booked under various charges including violating COVID protocols and prostitution.

All the accused were later released on bail. Police claim objectionable acts were being performed at the party and many guests tried to hide when they raided the place and locked themselves in the room, according to a report in Times of India.

The raid was conducted following a tip-off to Faridabad police about a party in Kotwali area. The police formed a team and sent two policemen as decoy customers.

According to police, a decoy customer met a woman who demanded Rs 2,000 and told him to go to a private room.

As cops raided the place, several people were found drinking and partying with loud music. Police said the attendees also indulged in ‘obscene’ acts.

Police officials said the party was organised without permission. They said the hotel also did not have licence to serve liquor.

According to Kotwali police station SHO, Arjun Singh, the party organiser Ish and a woman identified as Nisha were operating a prostitution racket in the garb of the party.
