Drone reportedly spotted in ‘no-fly zone’ over Prime Minister’s residence: SPG informs Delhi Police
Soon after getting information regarding the unidentified flying object over PM’s residence, the security officials launched an intensive search operation but did not get anything suspicious.
A drone was reportedly flown in a ‘no-fly zone’ over the Prime Minister’s residence in New Delhi on Monday morning. The SPG contacted the police at 5:30 in the morning. A moment after receiving the report about an unidentified drone over the PM resident, the police swung into action but they could not find anything so far.
“Information about flying a drone in the no-flying zone above the Prime Minister’s residence was received. SPG contacted the police at 5:30 am. An investigation is underway,” said Delhi Police officials.
Nothing suspicious found: Police
However, police have not found anything suspicious. A PCR call was received around 5 am that a drone-like object was seen flying over the prime minister’s residence, police said.
However, police and other security agencies did not find anything suspicious, a senior officer said, adding that the Air Traffic Control (ATC) also did not find anything.
“Information was received at the NDD control room with respect to an unidentified flying object near PM residence. Thorough searches were made in nearby areas but no such object was detected. Air traffic control room (ATC) was also contacted, they also did not detect any such flying object near PM residence,” the Delhi Police said in a statement.
