Hyderabad: 20-year-old girl allegedly gang-raped by auto drivers, cops file case
The 20-year-old victim said she was gang raped after she boarded an auto from Santoshnagar area of Hyderabad in Telangana.
Hyderabad: A 20-year-old girl was gang-raped allegedly by auto drivers in the old city area of Hyderabad in Telangana on Wednesday.
A case of rape and gang rape has been registered at Santhoshnagar police station after a complaint from the victim. Police say they are verifying the details in the case. The victim said she had boarded the auto from Santoshnagar and was later gang-raped.
The victim was later sent to Bharosa centre for medical assistance and counselling. Cops said they have also retrieved the CCTV footage of the area and are analysing it.
Cops said a search operation is underway to nab the accused. In less than a week, this is the second incident of rape in Hyderabad. Earlier, a woman alleged that she was raped at the government-run Gandhi Hospital.
