A 53-year-Old patient from Seychelles was operated for Childhood Traumatic Cataract at Supreme Hospital.

The patient Came with a History Of trauma to her left eye at the age of around 12 years. On Examination It was found to be a Hyper mature cataract with lens subluxation.

It was a risky procedure and after a discussion with the patient, the ophthalmology team decided to proceed with Surgery. Microincision phacoemulsification with PCIOL and CTR was performed on the patient.

The Patient’s Vision on Postoperative day improved from CF 5mt to 6/9
