BHOPAL: A 13-year-old girl was allegedly sexually harassed and her parents assaulted by three youth in Piplani locality on Sunday night.
The survivor, a student, told cops that on Sunday evening, when she was returning home after buying grocery from a nearby shop, accused Rohit sexually harassed her and passed lewd comments at her. Terrified, she kept mum and later narrated the incident to her parents. Police said when her parents went to counsel Rohit, he along with his two friends — Divyansh and Ishant — hurled abuses at them and assaulted them.
The family approached Piplani police station on Sunday night. A case of sexual harassment and assault has been registered under sections of IPC and POCSO Act. No arrest has been made yet, police said.
In Berasia, two youths were booked for allegedly sexually harassing a 15-year-old girl on Friday. The survivor told cops that she was sleeping in her house, when accused Bhupendra and Jitendra barged in and sexually harassed her. As she raised an alarm, the accused fled. Berasia police said that a case has been registered and efforts are on to nab the accused.
