Chandigarh: Man who lost job during lockdown kills 98-year-old woman during robbery attempt

Mumbai: A shocking incident was reported from Maharashtra capital Mumbai where a police constable was booked by Ghatkopar police on charges of raping and having unnatural sex with a woman constable. The constable has been suspended after committing the heinous crime.
The cop, who was attached to the Tardeo Local arms division knew the woman, who was from the protection branch of the city police for few years. As per reports, both were married and they stayed in Ghatkopar at city police headquarters.
According to the complaint filed by the woman, the accused befriended her and tried to come close to her. Also, he cheated her under some false pretext and made physical relations with her.
A senior police inspector added, “The accused under false pretext allegedly raped her and had unnatural sex with the complainant on a number of occasions at various places including Sakinaka and Navi Mumbai. Since the complainant lives in Ghatkopar, she lodged the complaint with us,” as per the report in the Hindustan Times.
Another incident in Mumbai
Another shocking incident was reported from Mumbai where a man was booked for allegedly extorting money from a businessman from Dadar and threatened to leak his wife’s nude picture on social media if he failed to do so.
The accused, Santosh Kumar Singh alias Bablu Thakur, demanded Rs 20 lakh from the businessman. It was after his friend’s advice when he approached the cops.
In his complaint, he added, “Singh would often come to my residence. He had befriended my wife and they were in an illicit relationship,” as per the report published in the Indian Express.
The man came to know about their relationship in April and had decided to pay the amount as he was scared that his image would be hampered and it would also disturb their kids.
