Delhi Police recover Rs 47 lakh in cash from a car in Sangam Vihar
The Delhi Police recovered Rs 47 lakh in cash from a car in the national capital’s Sangam Vihar area Tuesday evening.
According to the police, a car was stopped at T- point, Mangal Bazar Road, Sangam Vihar, during a check being conducted by the Static Surveillance Team (SST). “A bag containing cash Rs 47 lakh (approx) was recovered from the car,” said an officer.
The Delhi Police said in a statement the car was being driven by Vaseem Malik, 24, of Sangam Vihar, who said he is a scrap dealer. “The money has been seized and further action is being taken as per rules,” it added.
