Ghaziabad: Two women die after fire breaks out at tent godown in Loni border area; 8 rescued

Ghaziabad: The building which caught the fire was a four-story building and the third floor of the building was being used for residential purposes.

Two women died after a massive fire broke out at a tent godown in Ghaziabad’s Loni border area on Monday morning. Around 8 people, who were trapped in the fire, were rescued from the building.

The fire was reported to the fire brigade at 6.52 am. On the ground floor of the four-story building, there was a godown of tents that caught fire.

The third floor of the building was residential where 10 people were trapped. 3 fire engines were at the spot to douse the fire.

Fire brigade official Rahul Pal said that 8 people have been rescued from the building after breaking the wall and one fire official has been injured during the operation.
