Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway box office collection Day 4: Rani Mukerji’s film witnesses more than 50% fall on first Monday, hits Rs 7.4 crore total
Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway box office collection: The Rani Mukerji-starrer is performing better than Kapil Sharma’s Zwigato. But Ranbir Kapoor’s Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is still finding more takers.
Actor Rani Mukerji’s latest film, Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway, had a decent weekend at the box office, as it earned Rs 5.15 crore on Saturday and Sunday. The film picked up after a slow start on Friday, when it made Rs 1.27 crore. On its first Monday, the film’s collection fell by over 50 per cent. Though it outperformed Kapil Sharma’s Zwigato, which was released on the same day, Ranbir Kapoor’s holdover hit Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar made a larger impression at the Monday box office.
Industry tracker Sacnilk reported that Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway earned Rs 1 crore (early estimates) on Monday, while Zwigato made Rs 25 lakhs Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar made more than Rs 2 crore. Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway’s total collections currently stand at Rs 7.42 cr. Film trade experts suggested that the film could survive for a couple of weeks if it is able to maintain a healthy pace during the weekdays. Film trade expert Joginder Tuteja had told Bollywood Hungama, “As long as the numbers are on the same lines as Friday, it would be good indeed. That would allow it a good run not just till the release of Bholaa but even beyond.”

Meanwhile, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is seeing steady footfalls in the cinema halls, and its total collection after 13 days of release is around Rs 112 cr. Nandita Das’ Zwigato, which had a limited release, is being watched mostly in the urban cities and has earned Rs 2.09 cr in four days of release.
