New TVS 125cc scooter to be launched in India this week
TVS Motor Company is all set to introduce a brand new 125cc scooter to the Indian market on October 7, 2021. The new 125cc scooter is most likely to be the TVS Jupiter 125, which will take the competition directly to the Honda Activa 125 and the Suzuki Access 125 in India. The new TVS Jupiter 125 will come with a new design, and a host of modern features to keep it on par with the segment leaders, as well as the 125cc scooter market. Ahead of its launch tomorrow, TVS teased the new 125cc scooter on its social media platforms to share a glimpse of the soon to be launched TVS Jupiter 125.
From the teaser image shared by TVS, the new Jupiter 125cc will feature large LED DRLs placed on the sides of the front apron of the scooter. The rest of the design is still under wraps for now, but reports suggest that the new 125cc scooter will have its own unique elements to set it apart from its younger 110cc sibling. Expect a good amount of chrome at various places on the scooter as well as a new design for the wheels. The company also revealed the part digital, part analogue instrument cluster of the new Jupiter 125 as well with all the basic tell-tale signs and information.
There will also be considerable use of rubber on the handlebar to reduce the vibrations and offer a smoother ride. We also expect the underseat storage to offer ample space to store a full-sized helmet among other things. Powering the new TVS Jupiter 125 will most likely be the same 125cc, single-cylinder unit from the TVS NTorq with slightly tuned power delivery, and a reworked engine map for a commuter-based ride.
