Shah Rukh Khan says Jawan is the ‘first and last time’ that he will go bald for a movie: ‘Isi ki izzat ke liye chale jana’

Shah Rukh Khan showed the trailer of Atlee’s Jawan at Burj Khalifa and at the event, he shared that the core message of the film is women empowerment.

After releasing the trailer of Jawanonline, Shah Rukh Khan launched the trailer of the film at Burj Khalifa in Dubai. At the event, the Bollywood superstar said that he had to do multiple looks in the Atlee film because they have every possible element of entertainment packed in the movie. Shah Rukh said that he had to go bald for the film and quipped, “Abhi aap logo ke liye main ganja bhi ho gaya hun toh isi ki izzat ke liye chale jana. (Now I have gotten bald for you guys so please go to watch that).”

He added, “We have it all that’s why I had to do 6 or 7 get-ups in the film. And I’m there bald also so that’s something I am never ever going to be in life. This is the first and last time.”

Jawan marks Shah Rukh Khan’s first pan-Indian film and the actor said that the intention with the actioner was to entertain people with no barriers of language, religion, caste, creed or colour. He said, “What we entertain you with should not have a language, should not have a religion, should not have a caste, colour, creed distinction. We should all come together to celebrate entertainment with our families, our loved ones and this is the first step in that direction.”

He then shared that the core message of the movie is women empowerment and said, “We need to empower the biggest force in this world, which is women, so we have to empower them. So, this film is all about them but there’s lot of love, happiness, action, drama, emotion, all of it will be there.”

In a previous #AskSRK session on X (formerly Twitter), when a fan asked him to give a little teaser about the film, SRK said, “No tease, the one word that drives the movie is ‘Women’ it’s a film about women made for men!! Hope all like the Mass and Class….#Jawan.”

Jawan also stars Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra, Risshi Dogra, Priyamani and Deepika Padukone in a special appearance. The film releases in theatres on September 7.
