Varun Dhawan sustains leg injury while shooting his next, gives an update
Varun Dhawan was reportedly shooting for his next, tentatively called VD18. The film is helmed by Tamil filmmaker Kalees and produced by Jawan director Atlee.
Actor Varun Dhawan has reportedly sustained a leg injury on Jawan director Atlee‘s upcoming film, VD18’s sets. Varun has shared an update on his health and has said that he is now recuperating.
Varun shared an update on his injury by taking to Instagram stories by sharing a video, in which he is seen talking about his injury. He said, “I hurt my leg, I think, while shooting, and I have no idea how I hurt my leg, but this is what I am doing at the moment.”
The video, Varun is seen immersing his foot in ice water to get some relief from pain. Varun started shooting for the film backed by Atlee a couple of months ago and recently announced that the film will release on May 31, next year. The film is tentatively called VD18 and is helmed by Tamil director Kalees, known for his debut film Kee in 2019.
About the film, a source tells Pinkvilla, “Varun will be shooting for the film’s promo in Mumbai, and will be combining the schedule with a few important sequence shoots as well. The preparation is going on in full swing, while the makers are also simultaneously working on the plan to officially announce the movie with the promo that they are going to shoot tomorrow. It will be an entertaining promo packed with action and drama, and will feature VD (Varun Dhawan) in a never-seen-before avatar.”
On the work front, Varun was last seen in Nitesh Tiwari’s Bawaal along with Janhvi Kapoor, whereas Atlee, who is producing Varun’s next is basking in the success of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan. The film released in theatres on Thursday and have opened with positive reviews and box office numbers.
